Our extra-curricular highlights
Specialised Music and Visual arts Program
Our school may be small, but our creative talent is huge. With a dedicated music and visual arts teacher, students are encouraged to let their creative spirits soar during weekly lessons. They also have the opportunity to join our school band or choir, providing even more ways to explore their artistic abilities and shine.
Performing Arts
Our school offers many opportunities for students to engage in the performing arts, whether through drama and dance lessons, interest-based clubs, our biannual Burringbar’s Got Talent competition, or our end-of-year Showcase.
Year 6 Mentorship Program
Our school offers a Year 6 Mentorship Program that connects students with local community members who share their interests and passions. Over the years, we have built strong partnerships with the Pottsville Men's Shed, as well as local artists, chefs, and scientists. By providing students with a wide range of real-world experiences, we empower them to take ownership of their learning and shape their own futures.
Sports
Our school offers a wide range of high-quality sport and physical activity programs, delivered with the support of specialist coaches. These programs help students build skills, improve fitness, and develop teamwork and confidence. The only question is… are you a Magpie or a Kookaburra?
STEM
Our school offers a variety of STEM opportunities that inspire students to think creatively, solve problems, and explore how things work. Through hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, students build critical skills that prepare them for the future. These experiences help them develop curiosity, resilience and confidence, essential qualities that will support them throughout their education and in life.
Trips and excursions
Our students are provided with opportunities to explore and learn beyond the classroom, helping them grow, gain confidence, and connect their learning to the world around them.
